With buffing knights they wanted human player to start using knights and tier3 more often. But why they nerfed staff then? Elf will buy 2 staffs anyway (like sometimes they do in current patch): they are quite cheap, available at tier2, small cooldown and also bears have selfhealing spell anyway. But human staff realy sux now. Saving 1 unit in a minute for 250 gold... :(

blizzard nerfed the staffs in the wrong way, not only did this make staffs totally useless but it also removes a lot good micro moves, it would have been so much better too just increase the cooldown or gold cost of the staff, also staff is not the only item that got screwed by this.. ;(

Many Orcs complain that they didn't do anything about the elf matchup, but actually the staff nerf screwed the elf tier2 push and now you have to camp in your base till you reach tier3 cause a staff is just a staff and meeting an orc in open field will cost you all your archers except one instead of being able to harass, play offensively or generally making moves that are skilled *yawn*

Staff is SO bad now, i'd rather invest that 250 gold in extra knight or a heal scrolls and learn to micro better lol.

I still think that warlocks should be boosted, take a loot at 2v2 and 3v3 - melee zerg on ... err, it's WC3 forum ooolllalaaa, my bad .. usually the patch whine is under WoW section, clueless me.

NE staff nerved
NE orb nerved = DH nerved
NE dryads nerved (more xp)
HU towers nerved
UD expansion ... easier

blizzard was smart to only change few things, "big" patches can easily be a desaster.

I agree with you the patch might turn out to be really effective. On the other hand we have no new heros or major changes lot of people were expecting. Do not forget karune mentioned that this is not the last patch but only the first part of one big patch which has been split in order to release something to satisfy the community.

yeah that orb is really nerfed from 10 to 8 sec, u can really feel the difference :D

The patch aint really that bad. I guess i lose about 1/1000 games due to the changes they've fixed now. Thats better than nothing. Blizzard wasted all their time on 1 April joke instead of patch ^_^
