I really find this irritating:
Whilst the rest of europe, america and asia are having their tournements
the rest of us in africa, mainly south africa, arnt given a real chance at tournements.
i Mean, i play on Azeroth, and i want to play a dota, and i get kicked from almost every game just because im from south africa, i have about 1-2 second lag which doesnt really mean much to me, because i play better than most players. i just think it's really unfair that we have to suffer here, its not our fault that we have a couple of internet service providers, our highest internet connection, thats BRAND new in the country is 4mb, which you have to play a shit load of money for...
and we still dont get good pings on the servers...
cant someone do something :((((((
i really wanna improve in my gaming, but it's so difficult when we arn't given a chance...

find 9 other players from south africa and host a dota yourself?

most players in south africa play on the local server, and they dont have original warcrafts...
and i only really play dota when im bored, im more of a 1v1 player etc. there is a small handful of players in south africa that play 1v1's. its pretty lame, dota has destroyed this game :(((

try ggc man ,i'm sure you can find good opportunity to play dota there cuz 90% of players in ggc are playing dota.

+ there are a lot of people from all over the world , so i'm sure you'll find a game for ya

Yeah you can easily play dota on GGC (now called Garena). I often have people from asia/africa/america in my games. They don't have lag and they don't get kicked (expect if they have too high ping).

I doubt SK Forum members will change your situation in South Africa.

Well as #3 said , try GGc , u can have less lag there and there are many rooms , i don't play dota but idk if there is Africa room , but if there isn't u can send e-mail to GGc staf or ask them at forum,irc etc.. they could give you an GGC Africa room.

Dude, we can get 40mb pipes to every house, ur still not gonna get a decent ping on eu and us servers.. we are just physically too far away.. even with fibre direct from here we would probably have like a 100-120ms ping.. for FPS like CS thats just too high..

You wanna play overseas from here ? Then start studying, cause ur gonna have to come up with much better tech to bridge the delay.
