PAM is a competition mod which will disable alot of visualisations for better performance, and will balance all the perks / guns out for whatever league you want to play

CoD4 is everything the Counterstrike wishes it could be. Tactical, realistically fast paced (Only slightly quicker than CS in Search and Destroy objective game type), and the maps are even about the same size. Ideal for 5 v 5 to 8 v 8 matches (Depends on what leagues decide). Besides, if you don't like perks just restrict them. Most leagues are banning the M203 (noob tube), perks like juggernaut, martyrdom, last stand, UAV jammer, bandolier, etc. Perks like steady aim, stopping power, dead silence, and etc. are still in.

I think if ID handles the PC version right leagues will jumpstart and it'll get a lot of people from CS:S and BF2/2142.

I really love CoD4 it feels like u need much more Tactical and thinking then Counter-Strike.

I think CoD4 will be big in the E-Sport comunity or atleast I hope so.

If you think it's too much of a clusterfuck, it's because you are playing the wrong game type. HQ, TDM, Sabotage, and FFA are chaotic with more than 20 players. Search and Destroy is like a de_ map.

its only a bit harder to find a clan

only 3 friends of mine play it but they also play 1.6

i play much public get nice scores.. but never get in contact for a clan :P or something ^_^

not the same as in cs :P where you go to a irc channel find a clan or get in contact with one of your many friends you made in cs :P

I am going to stop playing cs and will move to CoD. CS is old now, gameplay is still great but that is not that :)

CoD have everything, tactic, gameplay, graphic!, etc...

I think it will be bigger than cs in the future (if they do not release new really god CS).

Even I play Cod4 almost everyday. Very addictive.
Love Search & Destroy. The team deathmatch is a bit to wild for me. That requires no tactics etc.. at least on public servers.

I find cod4 very nice and smooth to play.

COD 4 is amazing, and it is right CS is getting old...but still brilliant game. But COD 4 will grow alot lot more! than CS hopefully....if so illl switch :)

Activision has announced that Call of Duty 5 is in the making, which they announced in an announcement released yesterday which can be read here. The confirmation is not really unexpected, as the CoD franchise has always been a success. Details concerning Call of Duty 5 has not yet been revealed though.

Probably Treyarch will be developing the game. It's already known that Infinity Ward will not be developing the game. Activision announced they want to bring out a new Call of Duty game every year.

Well, i think it's a great game and i hope there will be big tournaments with COD4.. I don't have the original version, so i can't play online, but don't tell anyone, i'm buying it very soon ;)

the game is very awesome and it's possible to make great competitions from it but has some bad points too....and for cs 1.6 , i don't think this game would ever replace it :)
