Why AMD and not Intel??
Hi, everyone knows that the new Headsponsor of SK-Gaming is now AMD. Why do you think SK came to such a choice? What do you think about the choice?

AMD need to get into the esports because this past times they are blasted by INTEL and the gamers don't choose any more them.

intel is represented in all eSport activitys: Electronic Sports League, 4Kings, n!faculty and so on.
Where is AMD? :D
I think it was a good choice from SK Gaming and AMD to represent AMD more in the eSport Scene.

Actually, 4K is still sponsored by Intel, its not his main sponsor, but Intel still supports 4K...

It's not about who the better chip manufacturer is, it's about business, money, opportunity. AMD's offer has probably been better than Intel's, that's why they are the new main-sponsor. Simple. We will never know for sure though, if there existed an offer from Intel and they got outbid by AMD, or if they decided to quit the partnership for whatever reasons.

amd + ati's spider platform = cool :D

AMD tries harder for customers and works smarter than Intel.
Intel has been technologically behind AMD for 5 years and its just beginning to show - when 64 bit games come to the fore AMD will be a clear winner.

The fact is that AMD is now the Head Sponsor for 1 reason : the money.
Intel is a bigger firm that AMD (they lost more that 500M $ in 2007 with the buy which was overevalued plus their product which came LATE... phenom?)
If AMD want to back on track, they have to be present to back up some market part and sponsoring the most well know organisation of GAMING is a good way to do.
This is not a question of product themselve...

Amd prices have dropped by 40 percent compared to intel. A 2.2 duel core on newegg retail box amd is $52. Intel 2.2 Duel retail is 124.99 big price diff. Now granted intels has more cache and has been benched a little bit better than amd's. Look at the price you cant beat it.
Dont listen to these people that say there is a huge diff. there isnt. I own both amd and intel processors both are great at what they do and the only way you will notice a diff. is with benchmarks.

col2 I'll think you'll find INTEL CPU's are more advanced then AMD's technolically nowadays.
AMD are no longer the ideal CPU for gamers especially. I still use one only cause they are cheap :P

Money wasnt concern when I bought my new PC 9 months ago. First I tought of buying AMD cos my brothers had said years ago that is better than Intel.. but then my friend gladly said Intel is better now. I first doubted my friend a bit but then checked few benchmarks, and the results were amayzing. And thats why Im now broud owner of Core 2 Duo Intel. :)

Its progress of sience. With 2 firms to compete there is good prices for us costumers. I like to think they are like competing brothers who honor each other but want to do their thing in their own way. :)

It's true, you should not use Q6600 to CS, just amd.
Q6600 is 4 cores! So its should be used to set up servers and like that.
But still AMD is very good.
Even Intel.
