you fear the death?
Hy :P
I'm writting this to know what's your opinion about this issue.
I'm a little scared about the life because nowadays i don't know if i'm in security in my house or in my country, my world.... life is so good (short :P) and i dont understand why some people kill, or something like that...
Can we be all friends? Peace *
The problem is that we dont know how will be after we die, if there is another life or something like that...

Everyone is afraid of death, just every "fear" is different... Like umm, some people are afraid of height, for example they are scared if they fall off the building and die, others are afraid if they get bitten by a snake or spider and then die. Just most people dont realize that every fear is a fear of death;) Why would a man be afraid if hes not gonna die? :> hehe thats the true

i am afraid of death ..because if i die very early i will no have time to finish my purposes on the Earth... like a family child goodjob and etc. we must become happy first and must make someone more happy then... after that i think your life may be finished. :(

The worst aspect of death is loosing someone you love.
Once YOU're dead, it doesn't matter and if it's minute/day/month of feeling sad before you die, so what? Live your life in your own way, and then just survive the time before death takes you.

Death is indeed common to all creatures, but religion has been put in place a long time ago to appease this "fear of death" that mankind has been through since its first stages. In fact, even the most socially "primitive" civilizations or cultures or groups do share a kind of religion, as we would call these rituals they practice. Just think about it, many of the first religions, and even the three most important religions today in the world do promise something after our life, or at least a sort of way to heaven or hell, a judgment of the human being.
I would say that I am scared of death, not only because it could hit anyone of my relatives, or me, but also because I have things to do here before being eradicated off this earth =D
I could put the Austin Power list of the "Things to do before I die", but that would be called plagiarism (c) :D
But always remember the second approach of death, which is in a way quite negative but realistic : You won't know when you're dead, you won't need to remember it, you won't have to brush your teeth when you're dead, and actually, you won't have to be at all. Death is annihilation, you won't be conscious. It's like.. incomparable =)

whoever said that not being scared of death implies metal illness is a moron
if you were scared of death you would be scared all the time and we could not function like that
we are scared of a lot of things yet we are not scared when thinking about them (usually if you are you are phobic which actually is a mental illness)
so if you ask me if I WOULD be scared of death when facing it ... sure as hell I would
even ppl that want to commit sucide dont do it because they are scared of "the dying" but not of death itself

.... thing about job.... only job and fucking bills nothing else... or maybe just quit job and sell everything and go somewhere where is cheap and easy to live few month and then again few month a job and again and again but why to afraid death... coz if u die u cant do ur work NO mY GOD i cant die now

it depends, I would say that the most people don't fear the natural death (and so do I), lets say with 80 years or something like that. like the most ppl (in europe) die, natural.
your example: a gun on your head.. is very unnatural and when it happens with like 20, you have nearly your whole life in front of you so i would say, the most ppl fear that like you (I'm not sure, never been in such a situation^^)

Yeah, thinking that way... you right, anyway , if im 80 and have a gun in my head ill freak, but not so much like now =]
I never been in a situation like that too ( and still dont for my all life ^^)
but natural die... if u have such a good life, lot of people around you, i think u will still with the "fear" of the death ;)

yes, haha its a bit ironic but I would say at the end, we will be more experienced. and I hope this end is still far away.
I'm just 18, I hardly can talk about dying in 60-70 years (i hope its in more than 60 years, but this can change. depends on how my life will develop)
its maybe a question of your situation? if you have nothing to lose, why fear death?

there are moments were you are just so happy with everything (work,friends,relationchips) that it would be painful to die(im not talking about physical pain). you really think you would lose a lot and ofc others would miss you too. so i´d say it sux to die for no sense and also it sucks to die when you are completely balanced(mind). but if there is a good reason to die for(save somebody else or even many more people) it may be "ok". so anyways, we are all waiting for a moment to become important (for others) and useful in some way.
i´d fear to die slowly with some illness (like cancer or other shit), seing all familiemembers suffering... but in general i don´t feaar death (no i´m not crazy, no i won´t jump in front of car. just in general i have no fear to die)
