I started playing it since day 1 actually when it was released as a beta. I was with friends at a LAN center playing Starcraft and we downloaded the beta which took a whooping 4 hours since the internet wasn't as fast back then as it was now. We got into it and we actually ended up playing all night on cs_mansion if I recall correctly. Wait, maybe it was cs_docks. Either way, we had a blast and now the rest is history! :]

I started with 1.5 in 2004 ^^ Now I play 1.6 and I dislike CS Source lol Btw I'd like to know what CS Promod looks like and how the the feeling is to play. As long as it is a beta version I will wait, but when it's finished I'm gonna try it out. Probably it won't be that worse. I mean... It can't suck as much as source does lol (in my opinion)

For your information when I said the rest is history I meant that the whole Counter-Strike scene developed and was introduced as a competite sport which I followed closely and was more or less involved in.
