Everytime I visit the sk page my cpu usage goes trough the roof. I get 50% or more cpu just for what is supposed to be a static webpage , wich is insane. I use the latest version of firefox (on windows xp), so maybe it has a bug or the sk site is doing something crazy (those (flash?) adds look a bit suspect tbh).

Anyway it is kinda annoying because I allways have to close the sk page before starting any other application (like e.g. quake3 or wc3) because they become unplayably slow with the sk site running in the background.

So my question is, does anybody else have this problem, and if so could it be fixed (hi, bds)?

i'm pretty sure its the adverts for these rts things thats doing it, kinda annoying.

pretty sure its all of them, the rectangular ones at the top of the page the the square ones to the right.

I meant more the content of the banners, if a certain brand/game that is being advertised use more CPU than others.

maybe it's the monsters game one on the top. It is the only animated add I'm getting when I open this particular page and I'm at 40% cpu atm.

ah now I have bitefight, wich is animated at the top and to the right. , 50% cpu now with peaks to 75%

k now I have angels online and fallen sword and I'm at 0% cpu.

So the main culprits seem to be the bitefight, swordfight & monster game ones. And it gets worse when multiple are running at the same time. E.g. in multiple tabs or multiple adds on the same page.

Ok got it. Please report more, like Bwin, Kingston and Hattrick.

I checked a couple more on the frontpage like kingston, gamed!de, steelseries. They seem pretty well behaved, only occasionally peaking to 10/15%, wich is acceptable I guess.

It looks like it's mostly the ones from RedMoon Studios.

tbh i think this current 'knight fight' advert is worse than the others, can be using for me up to 80-90% cpu usage, although all of them have been using 50% cpu usage or more.

0-1% cpu usage :) with firefox uses 45 of rams.
