steelpad sp
Anyone played with the sp yet? I'm thinking of purchasing this one. I'm a low sens gamer and I play on s&s. But s&s just wears out to fast imo, will this be different with the sp considering it's a smooth surface? Sometimes I just hardly can move my mouse on my s&s cuz theres like a can of coke between my mouse and pad that grinds on my pad and seems like it's making huge scratches :D.
Or I should better just get a new s&s? I saw SpawN playing with it @ dreamhack and he played with s&s before. So if anyone got some info or experience on this new steelseries product, let me know.
Thanks

In my opinion all plastic pads seem to wear down pretty fast - that's why I went to cloth pads :)
Yeah but cloth doesn't slide like on a plastic pad it's too weird to play with.
i enjoy playing on plastic pads,s&s is plastic combined whit rubber and its good.
sp should me good, cuz spawN is playing on it :P

im never getting a plastic pad again they wear out to fast
i tbh don't like plastic pads, i never can control my mouse properly on them. Anyone tried an SX yet?
yea the sx has even less friction so basically even less control, if you find plastic too fast you'll find the sx insane.
Was thinking it would be the same if not more than a plastic pad, i'm guessing though it would last longer than the s&s or SP considering it's aluminium?
i've heard of the sx not lasting very well. here's some screens of a 2 month old one.

the Sp actually comes with a 2 year warranty (well it does in the UK)

thanks for the info, was thinking of maybe getting a new pad since my qck getting quite worn. thank again :)
oh BTW the SP definitely has less friction that the S&S so its worth bearing in mind what you like. after testing a new s&s side by side on this today i found the control better on the S&S.
.........but not by much
