What is the best for gaming plz ? AMD Or INTEL ?

i have An AMD 5600x2 !
I want to be sure of my choice

Amd and intel make good processor's..i favor intel's new core 2 duo extream 6850,it runs pretty warm and it's expensive as hell, but worth the $1,400.00 i paid for it.Guarantied no game will slow it down as i have tried.

Intel Processors are better than AMDs.If you check CPU Charts and tests results you can find out that Intel Processors are better.
Intel processors compared to AMDs are better and give you a better result for gaming, editing videos and sounds, converting from a format to another format.

Intel is better for the long run as they are more reliable but for gaming AMD is probably better as it can run at high temperatures.

At least, that is what I've been told! ;)

Intels currently but we will se what AMD has prepared for us ( I mean on Barcelona desktop processors).

Intel > AMD at the moment.

Core2Duo are way ahead of AMD at the moment, only because of the pure fact they have better overclocking features and capabilities. AMD are working on a new chip and should come out next year, which will deplete the Intel favourites and become the best set of CPU's in its own right.

It'll be cool to see performance tests on the AMD CPU compared to the best Intel at that time.

I personally have an AMD Athlon 4000+ and it's a beast. No need for 2 cores.

Intel QuadCore 12ghz, its the best processor so far that I know and used.

AMD is the smarter choice :D, is more cheap and the quality is almost the same.

It depends on game, Intel costs more but gives you top performance, while AMD has the best price/quality parity.

AMD Bought ATi, Intel recently aquired Havok, but i doubt it will make a huge diference.

I have AMD Athlon 64 3500+, and i think it's good enough :)

It`s true that Intel has better processors than AMD at the moment , but if u look at the price/performance ratio u`ll see that AMD has always beten Intel at this chaptor. Even more i don`t think it`s necesary to spend over 1000 $ 4 a processors @ the moment becouse there aren`t sufficient aplication to chalenge the full power of processors , maybe if u are doing graphic desing and modeling , but 4 games it`s sufficient enough to have a dual core processor .

I have an Intel Quad core and I do believe it's better than an AMD processor.
That does however translate in an extra cost.
I think price/quality wise they're pretty similar so it all comes down to preference.

I think Intel processors are better. I had AMD Athlon before, and I am more happy with my Intel processor that I have now:D

their New penryn (Yorkfield, specificaly), QX9650 if im not mistaken, costs around 900 dollars, it can hit 4GHz with EASE on stock cooler.

also, if you guys want to get a CrossFire or SLI, i'd go for Crossfire. CF is more optimised for multi GPU, and the new HD3870XT's, they can hit 20k in 3DMark06!
