He wants to build up a WC3 team ofc, but i think he lacks experience, money and a basis.

Could you honestly justify your need for a manager? Just because you and two buddies of yours are pretty good doesn't really necessarily mean that you can't book your own hotels and plane tickets. It's actually very little work and thus your need for a manager isn't probably justified...
