Steam and Vista problem

Hi, last night when steam started to update itself when it reached 26 percent the program closes and shows me an error which wrote : "Steam is already running, you may only run one copy of Steam at a time."
Also sometimes it is updating and when again it reaches near 30 percent it closes automatically.
Why ?
Please give me a solution to solve this problem.

I dont know what the problems is... but 90% of the steam problems is about ClientRegistry.blob so try to delete the file (its in your Steam map folder)

use a mac ;) i also do. steam works fine

Open the task manager(task bar?) and close steam.exe in there. Then you should be able to open steam again.

The problem isn't that easy.I did it but it happens again!

Always the newones suckass, that's the problem with Windows

Vista is a great Windows but alot of programs have some litle problems with it.

I hope Vista speed increase cause alot of games can't run on it very well :)

CTRL + ALT + delete // Proceses // steam.exe

I did it, but it doesn't work still!
I don't know why Steam don't test its popular program on Vista to solve the problems!

I got rid of all my problems when i started running Steam in Administration mode. (right click, Capability, then Check the box "Run program as system Admin") then it all worked

Thanks man, it's updating again, i hope your advice works for me!

i guess u owe me a thumbs up if it does! :D

I did :)
