the first 2 matches were enough but in those two, there was one(!) counterspell and 2 melee hits. you could have hoj the shadowfiend and gain some range, less mana for the priest, etc but you just stand there and with those opponents you don't even have to keep it for a dangerous situation because there won't be any dangereous situation.
my thoughts.
agree with all comments posted
( maybe the other 4 players of the team are so amazing that theres no much job left to pala but seem more of a pve scene, pala just flash healing, static, nearly no blessings, no dealing with eny cc, mele, nearly no silences, cs,not using buble to breack sheep and xplayer diying)
i mean im far from being that skill but watching its diferent that actually practising
nice movie!
:)
Ridiculous CC and almost no silences, even if you are good this Video does nothing to show that.
seems like lots of clueless posters here :(
Ofcourse let us hear what you think but you don't have to the your best to be so damn rude and make the author feel like the biggest loser in the world, because that ain't the case eventhou I haven't seen the movie.
Let me explain: So you're standin on Blade's Edge, Landoo on the other side of the bridge. Their warri stands closest to you, approximately in the middle of the bridge. Some yards behind him are the mage and the priest, some yards behind them the elemental shaman and at the end of the bridge the paladin. The paladin is able to heal the warrior and the rest of the team, the mage will CC whatever comes close to the warri and damage things in his range, the priest will dispell targets and mana burn casters coming closer to their site, while the elemental shaman switches targets in front of him.
So, now you want to CoT that paladin standing on the other side. So what do you do? You start running towards him. The warrior sees you, intercepts you and gives you hamstring, while starting bashing on you. The mage decides to sheep some other guy of your team, while the priest is dispelling every buff you had at that time. The elemental shaman starts casting bolts on you. At that moment you are already getting damaged by pretty much everyone of their team, except the paladin, who is healing, and the priest, who is dispelling and casting of heals and burns. But still, you are not in range of the paladin, since the range is 30y and the paladin is starting to walk a little backwards, until he stands at the wall. So you have to walk in the middle of the bridge. By this time, you got like 15k damage done to you. You get of the CoT and start moving backwards, while they still whack on you. 2s later, the mage decurses the paladin.
Congratulations. You wasted cooldowns of your team, you wasted mana by getting beaten to a pulp, you cursed that paladin for at least 2s (wow) and you did not cast anything else in that time. Yey, you are a GREAT player! At least, people watching a movie you're in will recognie the DECENT skill of the enemy team, since they obviously try to cc the pala!
Seriously guys, what's up with you? Have you ever played against a REALLY good 2345 team like Landoo? It's not like the enemies are too stupid to counterspell or sheep or fear or curse him, the reason they're NOT doing it, is that in a lot of cases it's not possible to do it without getting gibbed or heavily damaged. There is an elemental shaman standing there, having 960 spelldamage unbuffed READY to shoot in your face (PI and Trinket NOT included). There is this Icemage, having 930 spelldamage unbuffed. There is this warrior with over 518 armor penetration and 1834 attackpower UNBUFFED. And he wields a mace. And you are hamstringed. And you wear cloth. And you have no buffs, since they got purged.
It's not like the teams on Blutdurst would not like to annoy that paladin. They simply realized, that it's not an especially great idea. And some of you guys should hurry up and learn something about "positioning". It's pretty ridiculous, how some people obviously have NO clue about real arena 5on5 fighting REALLY hard teams like Landoo.
Apparently the people who complained about lack of CC on the paladin only watched the first 2 fights. He gets messed with much more later on. A couple fights actually prove the point that CCing the paladin is going to leave someone vulnerable: vs the Rogue team, a sheep on the pally led to their Priest dying. Sure Landoo's Shaman got pretty low during that period, but the pally didn't even have to bubble. There were a few times when teams did screw with him at good moments while pursuing a kill, got really close, and just didn't quite get it. There were also a bunch of times when he got CCed/locked with his whole team at 85%+ HP, which was completely useless, and a couple times when a CS on him would have meant a win for the opponents: sorta a good lesson of when to, and when not to, mess with the paladin :p
Their positioning was pretty cool to watch, GetLost describes it pretty well. The way they can fall back into it if they need help, or envelop someone who charges them etc.
So? :>
From minute 10 to end matches get more exciting, opponents level improves( they kill some ur members, silence u quite a lot, cc more etc)and i liked a lot ur positioning and the way u work as a team, skill was ok, although u did fall of bladge edge bridge at one point where ur team was actually losing( or at least was 4 against 5 because they had killed ur priest) but rest was ok, intro wasss amazingggg and if clicking in unit frames works for u, great.as i already said, gratz for the rating
But obviously, it's to early for some guys to even realize this. All they see is: lack of cc. Lack of stuff being thrown at the paladin. And the only reason must be: bad players.
But the exact opposite is true: both teams are SO good, that they know, WHY cc should NOT be thrown on the pala and why to AVOID at all costs to go there to do stuff.
ofc u arent the best team on cyclone, but u won the tournament, atleast that means u are pretty decent.
well i was #1 in 5on5 s2 for some weeks with my alt(priest) but anyway google alca and take a peak.

So because a team with a shaman and a mage is #1, it means the battlegroup is not developed? Why is that so? 2346 was top on BG9 for month and got DESTROYED on Blutdurst. I say, BG9 sucks, because 2346 was dominating. And I say Cyclone sux, because training a warlock for 3 games straight and winning is clearly a proof of stupid teams.
Argueing like that is more then stupid. Watch the movie, THINK, read my post above and then come again.
Oh and btw.: Glutsturm, the battlegroup of "Cool Azshalleros" isn't nearly as big or competitive as Blutdurst (less teams fighting, more teams only doing 10 games a week in Glutsturm) and you really think Blutdurst, by far bigger (the _BIGGEST_ in the world) and more competitive (5-6 top 20 teams fighting each other _EVERY_ day in the week, peeking in about 10-15 teams every sunday) is NOT developed?
That would be...well...just really stupid to think :D
