"It’s been a while since the first ECL was held in Liverpool, but now the long wait is over and in only 5 days ECL 2: Blackpool will start. The European Console League is Europe's leading console eSports event provider and on the last ECL, over 800 players competed for a share of £10,000 and further prizes.

The upcoming European Console League event will be held at the iconic Norbreck Castle in Blackpool from the 22nd-24th April. Norbreck Castle is a great location with some sightseeing opportunities and a good infrastructure for gaming. The location proved itself worthy for a big event, it also held the 2010 R3PLAY Retro Event which was also supported by the European Console League.
The main prize pool of £10,000 will be split dependent on the number of teams that enter Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo Reach and Gears of War."
