After a successful Xnote Star Invitational tournament, GomTV introduced the public with their new project, their own Starcraft league - Averatec-Intel Classic 2008.

The first Season will start at April 6th, 2008 and will continue for 19 weeks.

Unlike all other Leagues, the Averatec Classic 2008 doesn't have group stages and instead starts with an R64 knockout bracket.

The tournament is provided with English commentary from Nick "Tasteless" Plott.
