pro-Gaming Removed from EPS
Season 7 of the ESL's (Electronic Sports League) German Pro Series got underway a couple of months ago.

Season 7 of the ESL's (Electronic Sports League) German Pro Series got underway a couple of months ago.
With this season came one of the most peculiar teams - pro-Gaming, a team who literally came from no-where and destroyed almost every one of their opposing teams.
From their second match in the league - against SK Gaming's German team, a lot of speculation was brought against them as to whether they were a 'legitimate' team or not. Literally thousands of players and spectators began spreading rumours that the pro-Gaming team did actually cheat.
In Playday 4 of the league's season, the German powerhouse mousesports came victim to the dangerously abnormal team of pro-Gaming. The mousesports team were absolutely slaughtered by pro-Gaming, losing by a score of 24:06. By this time it had become almost crystal clear that something rather 'weird' was going on with the pro-Gaming team.
During the season pro-Gaming had only ever lost two matches - one against OCRANA (which was on LAN), and another against mTw (which was won very barley by mTw - online).
Now - seven weeks on, and numerous hours thoroughly analysing demos, they have eventually been caught out by the ESL. The player Eduard "eddy" Schmidt was eventually caught cheating after a demo of him was analyzed by the ESL admin team.
With this cheater caught come the consequences to him and his team. The ESL have removed the pro-Gaming team from season 7 of the EPS, they will also not be allowed to participate in season 8. The player himself - Eduard "eddy" Schmidt has also been given a two year ban from the ESL.
This really shows how strict online leagues are when it comes to cheaters. We wish every other team the best of luck in the rest of the season, and may the best team win!

"i agree that pG's lan/online results are suspicious alone, but elvis brings up a valid point nevertheless. reviewing a demo istn't really a proof, it's more like circumstantial evidence. yes, some scenes can be blatant, and an aimbot can be spotted easily. but i doubt eddys demos are that blatant, and noone of us even saw the demo that "found eddy guilty" in the end (since it hasn't been realeased yet afaik).
we all know how fast ppl are sure to be playing against a cheater, it happens a million times on public servers and in clanwars. and in many of these cases ppl are wrong. the esl anti-cheat-team might be wrong in this case as well.
record a demo of yourself, remove the walls and search a bit, and i'm sure you'll be able to make a little avi-file containing scenes someone would call suspicious.
don't get me wrong, i'm not saying eddy didn't cheat. i'm just saying you should be a bit more carefull before passing a sentence on him, respectively, watch demos of him before yourself and call him a cheater or unguilty (in your opinion) afterwards."

they wont kick a clan because of "1 demo" or "1 special situation"

When you see the scoreboard => WH on.
On the first scene you can see how eddy looks through the wall and how he aims at the enemy, after pressing TAB. Unfortunately you can't see the enemy, but you can imagine the position.
Watch this scene with a ESP and you will see how eddy aims (for a very short time) on the enemy.
The second scene shows how he canceled a grenade-throw ... without seeing the enemy. Watch carefully ... you will see: he canceld befor he could see the enemy.

This is the ESL we talking about. Not some whiney 12 year old on a pub.
To my mind it's not the only rotten apple, unfortunately.

they had that one close game vs mouz 16-14.
eddys demo was even posted in sk-gaming.com..
does anyone know what cheat they used during teh games?
eddys aim was a bit shaky in the mouz game last season but dont think he had aimbot or anything :\ at least didnt seem like it to me.. ;S but all old sk.ger members said cheat to him or something :)
well anyways gj esl kicking them, ul for the other members of pG but really its a eps team, so if one of them cheat.. all probably knew it..
