Today one of the best american teams out there, TEC, has announced some really impressive changes in it's roster.
It seems like lately there have been a lot of internal matters and the team took the downhill. A really good example for that would represent their recent match in the CEVO league. After the departure of Moses for United5, Derosa came, and at the beginning things went smooth. But personality conflicts inside the team had grown to a point where the best option for all parties involved was to take this decission. It seems like three of TEC's members will be leaving the team:
Alex "Jaden" Moore
Josh "Derosa" Derosa
Lance "tool" McCrary
Furthermore the team will fully switch to Counter-Strike:Source, concentrating on the upcoming CPL summer. This means that they will retire from the CEVO league as well as not participating in the ESWC Qualifiers. In the next few days, to the remaining players, there will be added a few new members. Currently TEC's lineup is formed out of two players:
Jon "Elude" Gilbert (Captain)
Josh "SpYdeR" Restuccio
Here's the full statement from TEC:
Some members of this team have come to the conclusion that recently we have been headed in the wrong direction. The team's practices have been few and far between and our matches have been lacklustre. Although the team has had success, making it into the top 4 in CAL-I, we have decided that it is time for a change. After tonight's dissapointing CEVO match, the team has decided to overhaul and change objectives. Alex "Jaden" Moore, Josh "Derosa" Derosa and Lance "tool" McCrary have been removed from the team. All 3 are great players who have some amazing skill, but personality conflicts inside the team had grown to a point where the best option for all parties involved.
TEC has decided to become the first top CAL-I 1.6 team to openly declare that we will be moving to CS:Source and completely dropping from 1.6 competition. This means we will be withdrawing from CEVO (although we wish their league the best) and will not be attending the ESWC Qualifiers nor will TEC be participating in the AmeriCup. The team will now be 100% focused on Source and Summer CPL.
Right about now you are probably asking who will be in this brand new TEC. Well I have some info for you, the rest will just have to wait for a few days.
TEC CS:Source
Jon "Elude" Gilbert (Leader)
Josh "SpYdeR" Restuccio
Mr. "Lucky Guy" Mystery
TEC will be picking up more players over the next few weeks to fill out the line-up.
As for finishing off the CAL-I Playoffs, TEC is scheduled to play United5 on Thursday night. You will just have to wait until then to see if this match actually gets played.
Good luck to them.

I probably can't survive if that happened to me.
& btw, stop flaming source & start playing it, it is an inevitable change :)
It's a game which doesn't allow any competitive play in its gameplay etc.. so it's normal that we explain what things need to be changed.
I hate America, I hate American Teams (Excluding: coL, Rival). Fuck that bullshit.
HAN §§! FAKE §!!§ -_-
cheers

CS was patched over years (it's now 1.6) ...
CS:S ... never really patched yet, so stop saying it
sucks ...
Besides, do not forget that source, at the contrary of 1.6, requires a rather high quality config and as such, implies that people own them which is definitely not the case for everyone.
So yes, indeed source is a game you can play if you please, but no it is not a better version of counter strike. Nevertheless, people that call source a different game are not fully telling the truth either as the background is based on counter strike but it's quite clear that the gameplay does not match it and allow source to being played in any highly ranked competitions.
