With 165 days until the CPL Summer event, CPL has decided to release the website which contains all the news and infomation about the event, also you can find out who has signed up and who will be out in Dallas.
With PainKiller as the main event, Couter-Strike:Source is still a high purse, a $100,000 packet again, with the top team taking home $30,000 and the runner up taking $21,000. No doubt there will be more news out when the signups for the CS:Source event is full. Here is the statement from the CPL about the event.

We are launching the site next week but if you are expecting exact dates and venues for every stop that is an unreasonable expectation.
It takes months to contract venues and all of our partners are in the process right now. For now three stops have been announced: Istanbul, Barcelona and Dallas.
Shouln't be long now! :)
I just need to raise the money for lodging. I's only a 10-12 hour drive, 1-2hour flight if I decide to go. I live in the rio grande valley in texas so.. It's much closer to me than it is most other people... Except for Ksharp who lives close to dallas. We need to have like... an SK Insider booth.. heheh.. Where we all flame each other and say how much better we are than everyone else and that the USA sucks xD

None of the big names have registered yet except for TAU.
with hardly any teams signed up to CS and still no sponsorship :| maybe it will get canceled :O
regarding the current situation:
Imo the amount of top teams at CPL/ESWC will be 40/60.
The gamers want to play 1.6, which gives ESWC an advantage, but we musn't forget the fact that they BOTH have a huge prize purse to offer, so i guess there will be some kind of natural force dividing the teams between the two events.
Think about it: if you would manage a competitive team, and you notice that most skilled teams have subscribed to ESWC, you'll be more likely to send your team to CPL, in order to stand a bigger chance for the _ca$h_ which is, lets be honest, what it's all about.
Also, i forecast most European teams to attend ESWC and most American teams to attend CPL, which is kind of logical, regarding the flight costs which will no doubt be taken in consideration by the sponsors.
4K :
Ivica Markovic (4K^Zeus[19])
Manuel Schenkhuizen (4K^Grubby )
SK :
Fredrik Johansson ( SK | Madfrog )
Tae Hwang ( SK | Zacard )
These are top players, maybe this has anything to do with intel sponsoring both teams?
