PD2 - Catch > 4K, coL > NoA
Playday 2 of the WEG Masters 2006 tournament is going to be good - a full day of Counter-Strike, with a total of four matches. The two to watch would probably have to be 4Kings vs Catch-Gamer, and compLexity vs Team NoA, which begin at around 07:00 CET and 14:00 CET on Sunday, respectively. Both 4Kings and Catch-Gamer are great teams, so should give us a really good show. But with 4K having to use a stand-in for this match, they will definitely be handicapped, and probably demoralized. Catch-Gamer on the other hand have an all-star Norwegian line-up - that should send chills down any opponents back - who are probably fully prepared for the game. However with best of three, it could easily prove difficult for the Norwegians. The match is scheduled to begin at 07:00 CET on Sunday. Good luck to both teams! Another interesting game is the compLexity vs Team NoA match. After coL's win on Friday against Virtus.pro, they will be fully prepared and in spirit for this game. But with all the NoA players being WEG veterans, they could definitely pose as a tough opponent to coL. The match should be very exciting, and will begin at around 14:00 CET (after the other three matches of that day). Good luck to everyone playing in this playday! *Update* There are a few minor computer problems holding up the start of the NoA vs Hacker.pk match. Once resolved, the game will be going live. Video Streams There are a number of free streams that will broadcast the WEG matches live. Most of them however will have foreign (Chinese or Korean) shoutcasters, the only exception being www.esport.org - which is shoutcasted in English. A list of all streams can be found in this forum thread. But it is recommended that www.esport.org is used. Scorebots As you probably know there is no HLTV for the WEG events. The only two forms of live coverage we can use are streams, and scorebots. The scorebot channel on the QuakeNet IRC network is #weg.live - which will usually provide live scores for all WEG CS matches.
