Riot loves surprising all of us with cool new features we didn't even know they are working on and here is yet another proof of that. A team of artists have made a complete overhaul of the Proving Grounds and it is only appropriate that they even renamed the map to the "Howling Abyss", which now will be "an ancient landmark in Freljord where the Iceborn finally overthrew their oppressors and sent them tumbling into the chasm below". You can now try the new look of your favourite LoL mode over on the PBE, but it's still a few patches from being fully tested and released on the live client.



And if that's not good news enough the community's outcries for an official matchmaking ARAM queue have been heard and it's also in progress. It hasn't been added on the PBE yet but the plan is for it to be added to the live client together with the new look of the map.
