We're almost halfway trough the LCS, but the best is yet to come! Fnatic - EG, followed by "El Clasico" are just some of the exciting matches today. Will there be any movement in the leaderboard? Stay tuned to find out!Game 1:
fnatic vs
Evil Geniuses

Recap:
Despite the technical issues and a passive start from both teams, a well orchestrated gank by Evil Geniuses caught sOAZ under his top turret to pick up first blood. This move backfired terribly at them, as in their attempt to convert the kill into an early tower, Fnatic managed to regroup and score important kills, as well as a successful defence of their turret.
Despite the momentum that Fnatic had earlier on, being 4:1 up in kills and 1:0 in towers, EG showed a better map control and for the following minutes they were the team, dictating the events happening around the map. It wasn't long till they secured a tower themselves and were constantly contesting Fnatic at dragon.
Half an hour gone, the gold was still even and neither team could come out ahead. Fnatic was getting impatient and paid the price, after a bad engage by xPeke backfired at them, giving EG a slight edge - 3 kills and a Baron. Evil Geniuses now had full control of the map and naturally the siege began, which Fnatic managed to hold off without losing to much.
For the following 20 minutes, we were able to observe what seemed to be the most tactical game in the LCS so far. Both teams knew, that one good teamfight would win them the game and were waiting to capitalize on their opponent's mistake. After an nearly one hour game, Fnatic managed to prevail, after a clutch counter-engage secured them 3 kills. The two remaining Evil Geniuses were soon overpowered by Fnatic's brute force, bringing down the Nexus and coming back from what seemed to be a lost game.
Winner: Fnatic
Game 2:
SK Gaming vs
DragonBorns

Recap
So far in the tournament, Dragonborns' early aggression was winning them games. A factor, which most of the teams were aware of, but couldn't find a counter. That wasn't the case in this game however - through unorthodox laneswaps and maneuvers SK not only matched DB's aggressive play, but negated it.
First blood was in favor of DB, after a tag team tower dive top onto HosaN's Miss Fortune. A miscalculation in turret damage and good micro skills by the Dragonborn's AD Carry secured him the kill, right before Kev1n's Rumble finished him off.
The first game changing event was a badly engaged dragon fight. After seeing an opportunity to engage onto SK, Dragonborns were quickly melted from the AoE that was thrown at them by Ocelote's squad. From that point on SK were in the driver seat and eventually won the game, after a very dominant performance.
Winner: SK Gaming
Game 3:
Evil Geniuses vs
against All authority

Recap:
Losing their first game today really upset the Evil Geniuses and they were looking forward to this match. Their mood could be seen in their playstyle the first few minutes, as they were a bit shaky, giving away firstblood to Shlaya. The laning phase was pretty even, as both teams were tied at one kill and one tower each.
When both teams started grouping up for global objectives, aAa were the ones with the good engages at start, but a few fast turnarounds by EG and mostly by Krepo's Thresh hooks landing perfectly, tilted the gold ever in Evil Geniuses' favor.
A "4 for 0" turnaround for EG sealed aAa's destiny, as they were not only behind in kills, but in towers as well. The Evil Geniuses managed to capitalize on every mistake Against All Authority did. In their typical style of methodically suffocating the enemy, they steamrolled trough the French's base leaving them no chance for a comeback.
Winner: Evil Geniuses
Game 4:
fnatic vs
SK Gaming

Recap:
This game SK started invading the red buff on Fnatics side of the jungle with four men, they did get spotted in the last second, resulting in no early first blood. As the laningphase began you could quickly see what the gameplan of SK was: don't let xPeke get fed! In this case this meant a laneswitch, sending the midlane up top, the toplane down bottom and finally the bottom lane two versus one in the midlane.
This seemed to be working fairly well, until the first blood was secured by Fnatic. Suddenly SK struggled badly, not being able to handle the teamplay of xPeke and Soaz, they lost members over and over. A lot of towers had already dropped for SK Gaming, when Ocelote was finally able to show a sign of life, as he picked up a doublekill and eventually a third one after a chase.
At that point SK seemed to be a little bit back into the game, winning a few smaller fights and securing a dragon with another great ultimate by Ocelote. As the game progressed it became clear that SK didn't have the tools to counter the repeated kills onto Singed, played by kev1n. In the end this lead to a showdown around the baron pit, but when Fnatic suddenly decided to stop the baron and engage on SK, killing 4 members. This started the game ending push and secured the win for Fnatic.
Winner: Fnatic
Game 5:
DragonBorns vs
against All authority

Recap:
As the game started, we saw aAa with the same move as SK in the previous game - sending their duo lane in the middle. On Dragonborns' side there was no reaction in terms of laneswitching. The first bit of action came down in the bottom lane as united Jarvan IV and Renekton tried to kill HosaN's Miss Fortune and it wasn't until Nono's Twitch joined the fight, that they could achieve it and pick up first blood for aAa.
The first big teamfight however brought an exchange of kills, ending in favour of DB, who also secured the dragon right before that. In the following the game seemed to be in the bag already for DB as they won every fight and took several towers in addition.
Shortly after a fight, that resulted in no kills for both sides, we saw a spectacular baserace as AAA was rushing down the midlane and DB pushing top at the same time. In the end it was unbelievably close, as all nexusturrets on the map went down. Eventually it was a matter of a few seconds in that AAA were able to achieve the victory over DB.
Winner: Against All Authority
Game 6:
Copenhagen Wolves vs
fnatic

Recap:
This was a special one! To end the day we had Fnatic, seeking for revenge, pairing up with Copenhagen Wolves striving for wins. Game started off very cautiosly by both teams, as neither one wanted to give away early advantages. After a first few minutes of back and forward action with loads of gank attempts and maneuvers, first blood was secured by xPeke, who caught Bjergsen near the wraith camp and gave his team a slight advantage.
A badly played towerdive by Fnatic swung the game wide open again, as the Wolves were there to capitalize on the mistake. CW returned the favor, after a very optimistic Dragon attempt led to their demise - in the following teamfight, the Danes experienced the full extension of Fnatic's teamfight capabilites and got destroyed.
Just when it seemed that Fnatic was winning this game, a delayed Pentakill by TheTess showed them, that the Wolf pack is still in this game and they are not going to let it go lightly. It wasn't until the 50 minute mark and a clutch Baron fight, that Fnatic could eventually win the game.
