Led by Martin "Rekkles" Larsson, the team has set its sights on ambitious goals for 2013The team was revealed as a Fnatic Academy project in December 2012 when, due to age restrictions,
Martin 'Rekkles' Larsson had to step down from the main line-up. However, his strong performances during
DreamHack Winter,
THOR Open 2012,
IEM Cologne and
IPL 5 convinced the management to not dismiss the youngster as he handpicked and now captains the Fnatic.Beta line-up.
Managing the academy team will be the one and only -
Danijel "StreeT" Remus. The BYOC tournament at
Copenhagen Games will provide the grounds for the team's first appearance onto the scene.
Below is a statement from
Martin 'Rekkles' Larsson himself:

"After being told I cannot play LCS, I wasn't too sure as to what I wanted to do. Fnatic offered me the chance to form a second team under the orange and black and after some thinking I decided this was the best choice for me. I'm happy to stay with Fnatic, stay in touch with my former team-mates, and now play with my new team-mates.
The players I chose, took a while but I am happy with the line-up we now have for the Beta team. There is plenty of tournaments for non-LCS teams coming up so we're looking forward to hopefully winning some events.
I will still be streaming a lot so make sure you tune in, tack!"
