Today was the kick off of the 10th annual MLG Pro Circuit with the Winter Championship at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Check out the results of both the weeks NA LCS matches, as well as the debut of the International Exhibition Tournament.Game 1:
Team SoloMid versus
Good Game University
Bans
Picks
Game one of the day featured TSM Snapdragon versus Good Game University. The game started off with an impressive Golem Buff steal from GGU's Lulu. With top and bottom lane swaps, GGU was looking like the better of the two teams, specifically in relation to trading tower damage. However, with an aggressive Flash Gold Card stun from Twisted Fate in mid lane, followed up by an Audacious Charge from Xin Zhao, TSM picked up first blood onto Diana. Two minutes later, Twisted Fate teleported behind Diana in mid lane and picked up another kill.
TSM was able to control the map very early. Rumble was able to farm consistently in top lane, while Kog'Maw and Thresh dominated in bottom lane. With no response to objectives, GGU fell far behind in gold and could not put a dent in TSM during team-fights. In a full team battle at GGU's inhibitor turret, TSM secured a 4 for 0 trade. The item and creep-score differentiation for TSM allowed them to shred through GGU's front line in another battle scoring three more kills. TSM's methodical plays and consistent map pressure led them to a convincing win.
Winner:
Team SoloMid
Game 2:
compLexity Gaming versus
Team Dignitas
Bans
Picks
Game two of the day was a thriller featuring the hottest NA LCS team, Dignatas, versus the 8th-ranked compLexity. The match started off with action in all three lanes. Dignitas started things off with a first blood from Kayle in mid lane. Then, Varus Barrier baited a fight at bottom lane, and Cho'Gath picked up a double kill. Soon after, Renekton secured a kill onto Elise for the 2 for 2 trade. The story of the game was compLexity's Jungle Cho'Gath. He got off to an early start with two sets of double kills and began to snowball into a great threat against Dignitas' squishy early game composition. It was an even match-up in kills up until 13 minutes, when compLexity's Elise Flash stunned Draven, getting the kill and the turret.
From there compLexity was able to dominate numerous objectives, securing two Dragons, and pushing down turrets. In the next team-fight, compLexity pushed towards bottom inhibitor turret; Xin Zhao and Renekton engaged all-in in response. Kayle burnt her Intervention on Renekton and as they chased down the enemy team, Cho'gath turned around and landed an amazing Rupture locking up Dignitas for an Ace. Once Dignitas respawned, Draven sniped Sona with his ultimate and then looked to apply pressure around Baron. Dignitas was able to pick off two members of compLexity, but while Dignitas was attempting Baron, they forgot about compLexity's Kha'Zix, who backdoored both Nexus turrets. With the base completely helpless, the better equipped compLexity secured Baron buff, pushed down mid lane, and sealed the most impressive upset of NA LCS thus far.

compLexity Gaming
Game 3:
Team Curse Academy vs
Counter Logic Gaming
Bans
Picks
Game 3 of MLG Dallas featured Curse versus Counter Logic Gaming. These two teams know each other very well, and equally have something to prove. CLG's Chauster was absent for this game, and bigfatlp was substituted in at Mid Lane. HotshotGG reverted back to his former Jungling position, while Link was moved to Top Lane. The game began with a first blood in favor or Curse, when Lulu was caught deep in the enemy jungle attempting to place aggressive wards.
Bigfatlp showed his strengths early in the match; in a fight at top lane, Jarvan IV and Elise dived onto Shen with Rumble right behind. Ryze and Gragas teleported to assist and as Shen went down, bigfatlp's Gragas secured a double kill. He would then outplay Ryze with a sneaky Red Elixer, and take him down one versus one for an early 3-0 start. The game would then go downhill for CLG. The team-fight coordination, was not all there for CLG, and they ended up being turned on in a 5v4 fight at mid lane. Jarvan IV's Dragon Strike and Cataclysm combo dropped Rumble as he was over-extended, and Curse secured a 3 for 1 trade. After picking up Baron and winning numerous advantages, Curse charged into the base and ended the match thanks to an aggressive Saint Vicious.
Winner:
Team Curse Academy
Game 4:
Vulcun vs
MRN
Bans
Picks
The fourth game of the day featured Vulcan versus MRN. Unfortunately for team MRN, ecco could not compete due to illness, and so their team lineup was completely shaken. Using a last minute substitute, MRN drafted Nysyli as ADC, moving Heartbeat to Mid Lane. The game started out very close until a battle both in Bottom Lane and Top Lane emerged. First blood went to Rumble at the top soloing Jarvan IV, at the same time, Ryze and Shen had collapsed bottom for a 1 for 1 trade. As the game progressed, Rumble had out-leveled, and out-scaled Shen by a landslide, and in every consecutive team-fight, Rumble would melt MRN securing clusters of kills and increasing Vulcans gold lead. In a fight at Mid Lane, Vulcan secured a 4 for 1 trade and an inhibitor after catching Jarvan IV farming in his own jungle. In a last struggle at Baron, MRN engaged onto Nidalee, taking her out of the fight early, but the rest of Vulcan, including a fed Rumble, annihilated MRN's forces and would eventually lead to the win.
Winner:
Vulcun
MLG International Invitation Game 1:
Team Dignitas vs
Gambit Gaming
Bans
Picks
Many excited fans had been waiting for this highly anticipated international match between two of the worlds powerhouse teams: Dignitas and Gambit Gaming. They had not seen each other for over a year, but both seemed to be very confident going in. Game one of the series consisted of very early aggression from GG, who invaded Golem Camp and forced Dignitas to take the opposing Jungle. After target banning Kiwikids Elise and Singed, GG placed a target on his back. GG's Volibear ganked Rumble at 4 minutes in a 3 v 1 tower dive, securing first blood. Dignitas would respond with their own three man gank at bottom killing Zed. GG would then dive again at Top Lane, killing Rumble and setting him back further than he would like. GG team-fight coordination and constant map pressure was the story of the match. Dignitas proved to remain a threat for the majority of the game, however GG's ability to secure map objectives allowed them to come out on top in the majority of team-fights.
A big battle erupted at Dragon where Dignitas engaged onto GG and seemed to be coming out on-top, however Miss Fortune's micro and ability to dodge Ezreal's skill shots was too much for them to handle and suffered a 3 for 2 trade and forfeiting Dragon. Soon after, Dignitas saw an opportunity at Mid Lane, jumping onto GG's Kayle, but as Alex Ich casted Intervention on himself and drew Dignitas to the back-line of his team, Miss Fortune and Volibear turned the fight around making it a 4 for 2 exchange. Not going down without a fight, Dignitas rushed towards Baron after fooling GG at Mid Lane. Dignitas was able to quickly acquire the buff, and slow down the pressure from GG and reposition themselves for the next fight. Unfortunately for Dignitas, GG's team-fight coordination was too much to handle, inside of Dignitas' base GG engaged onto Xin Zhao and picked up a 4 for 1 trade. They would then push down Mid Lane again and assist Kayle for an unofficial Quadrakill and the victory.

MLG International Invitation Game 2:
Team Dignitas vs
Gambit Gaming
Bans
Picks
Game 2 of the international invitational started off strong once again for Gambit Gaming. Lulu amazingly stole Blue buff away from Dignitas by herself at level 1, which completely set Scarra's Gragas behind in the 2 vs 1 lane at bot. The story of this game was GG's Jungle Volibear. He was all over the map, and wrecked havoc in every gank he performed. Dignitas was able to secure first blood in Top Lane, but aside from that, nothing looked like it was going in the right direction for the Americans. The 'Bear Train' began with a gank at Top Lane when Volibear engaged onto Rumble and man-powered his way for an early double kill. He would then gank Mid Lane to grab a kill onto Ezreal, then look towards Top Lane again. Volibear went on a tear with a convincing 6-0 start, something that Dignitas could not respond to. The game would go on with numerous even exchanges, but Rumble would remain under-leveled. GG would eventually force Baron, cast Intervention onto Kha'Zix, shred through Dignitas with Bullet Time from Miss Fortune, and push for the win and the match-up. Dignitas would be eliminated from the international tournament, while GG qualifies for the next round against the winner between KTR B and Curse.
