ImageThe stakes are high across the board as top players and teams from CoD, LoL, and SC2 compete for thousands of dollars in cash prizes.

This weekend begins the madness that is MLG's Winter Championship in Dallas, Texas USA. Dozens of players from across the globe have been brought in to compete in a trio of games, and with fans swarming to watch their favorite pros battle it out there's more than just the tens of thousands of dollar at stake. The weekend will be jam packed with Call of Duty: Black Ops II, League of Legends and Starcraft 2, so if you are a fan of eSports it's not something you will want to miss. Here's a quick overview of what's at stake, what to expect, and when and where you can tune in to watch the non-stop action.

What's at Stake
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
*USD 50,000 prize pool
*Top 8 will be invited to the Call of Duty Championship in April

League of Legends
*USD 30,000 prize pool and a place in the May Promotional Tournament for the NA LCS
*USD 15,000 prize pool for the International Exhibition Tournament
*LCS records for all NA LCS matches

Starcraft 2
*USD 75,000 prize pool


What to Expect
Call of Duty
*192 teams will battle it out for the Top 12 spots
*Top 12 and the Top 12 from the Winter Championship Bracket Qualifier will compete for the Top 8 placements
*The Top 8 from the tournament will be invited to Hollywood to compete in the Call of Duty Championship in April

League of Legends (Three separate events being held over the entire weekend.)

NA Summer Promotion: A four team battle for supremacy where the top team will be invited to participate in the May Promotion Tournament where they will get the chance to earn their way into the NA LCS Summer League.

International Exhibition: Another four team competition filled with one Korean, one European, and two North American teams where the two finalists take home cash and glory for their team.

North American LCS: With Week 5 being the halfway point, it's time for teams to start shaping up and securing wins if they hope to place in the Top 6 in order to make it into the playoffs. Every win counts, so it's time to find out who will rise to the challenge!

Starcraft 2
*32 top players from around the world will go head-to-head to claim the top cash prize
*4 of the 32 invited are the winners from the 2012 MLG Fall Championship


All available live streams for each series will be available at Major League Gaming's website with different events starting throughout the day. Live events will begin on Friday, March 15th at 15:00PST (Saturday, March 16th at 01:00CET) and run throughout the entirety of the day.
