Hi-Rez Studios recently announced a $10 000 5v5 Invitational that will take place at PAX East and SK's Smite team won the only open spot!

Despite still being in open beta, Smite has been growing and there are many teams that have already been formed. 7 of the most dedicated of them have been invited by the creators of the game to take part in a 5v5 Invitational at PAX East between 22 and 24 March.

The 8 and final spot for the tournament was up for grabs in a single elimination, best of one WILDCARD event and it was none other than our own SK Smite squad that took it. Despite playing the last game on an NA server and having a DC, the team leaned on their impressive teamwork and secured the win and the invite for the tournament.

I still dont know why they weren't invited in the first place and they had to go through the qualifier, and knowing how much Psiyo bitches about NA servers it was probably a pain xD

haha yes the initial reason was that we did not play in the curse tournaments where they did their stas and invites take off so obviously cause we weren't active there they had no real info about us for the invite but that did not really bother us after all since we were really confident going into the qualifier and winning it and as far as i know team VCE has to face off Vexx NA in a BO3 the coming weekend but i do not really know the whole reasoning behind it right now we are just really preparing for the game we have up against myrEU (one of our biggest opponents we have in the EU Scene:) ) and for the rest of the tournament we will see how it will work out on NA servers ( i hate na servers!)
