ImageA few days ago, Anexis eSports have announced via their official website that they have secured the services of the overrated individuals team.

The German based organisation have been signed a new contract with Overrated individuals, by UK Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn with the other players from UK mouz.uk squad that placed third-fourth at DreamHack Winter and also UK Daniel "RE1EASE" Mullan and UK Brandon "weber" Weber.

I continue the PRO-Series Interview today, we have the team captain UK, Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn and the Business Development HR Manager, Toni "Toni" Milicevic from Anexis.

swaMp: Introduce yourself first, tell me full name and position in Anexis and a short info.

Sam: Hey there, my name is Sam Gawn and I am the squad and in-game leader for the Anexis-eSports CS:GO team. As for a brief history of my achievements I was formerly a member of the Birmingham SALVO CGS franchise that one the World Finals in Los Angeles in 2008 and also Copenhagen Games 2012 with Mousesports.

Toni: Hello to everyone out there, my name is Toni Milicevic and I work as a Business Development Manager at Anexis eSports. I joined the organisation few years ago and I have been enjoying my time here since.

swaMp: Toni, tell me more about Anexis organisation.

Toni: Anexis eSports was founded by a group of enthusiasts back in 2007 from a German city of Wiesbaden. The initial teams didn't really leave a sufficient mark on the scene but the the pickup of our famous Hungarian CoD4 squad, every piece of the puzzle started to fit in. Now, we are hosting teams and players in various of games such as League of Legends, StarCraft 2, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and so on. The amount of professionalism and dedication in this organisation simply amazed me and I couldn't be more proud to be a part of this project.

swaMp: What u can tell me Sam about your teammates ? Tell me the lineup and each other role in the team.

Sam: The current line-up for the Anexis-eSports CSGO squad is the following and I’ll give you a little insight into how I view the individual players roles within our team.

Sam: UK Brandon “Weber” Weber – I actually tried to secure Brandons services a long time ago when he was in mTw and it was unfortunate that we were unable to negotiate with mTw to see him released from his contract. As a result, it is no surprise to me that finally Brandon has joined our squad as I know the qualities he possesses and how committed he is to achieving his goals. As a player I would say he likes to be the “grimz”/”morph” of the team who lurks around getting the backstab frags and forcing the opponents to rotate because they are unsure of where our squad is heading. He obviously has great aim as everyone will be aware of who’s watched him for any amount of time but most importantly even from playing with him during our officials so far I can see he keeps a calm head and is always willing to listen to ways to improve. I would say his role at the moment is probably as a fragger for us but ultimately he probably plays a bit more passive compared to how we will be using Dan. Instead of shotgunning Brandon into the bombsites like Dan he will be much more on the rotational and grimz side of things on our T side. So far I’ve been impressed with what I have seen and as we progress as a team I’m sure he will become an even better player than he already is.

UK Daniel “re1ease” Mullan – What do I really need to say about Dan, it is quite clear his main qualities are his great aim, clutch play and ability to win the rounds you seemingly believe are lost. I consider him to have the best aim in the UK and ultimately the potential to become a true great player on a global scale. I know within a few months of us competing at events he will manage to surprise a lot of people with just how good he is. For our squad we will try and use his ability to carve open bombsites and place him in positions to allow him to use his skills to gain frags for the team. I know with Dan that when we get to LAN he is never going to buckle under the pressure and it’s something like myself that he thrives on and shows his true worth.

UK James “Mx” Smale – Again, I've played with Jim for years now and there is no secret behind that. As a player he has developed himself into a consistent and reliable player whose versatility within a squad is unchallenged by any other player that I know. I can ask him to be a fragger, an AWPer, a support player… I mean literally if I need to change a bombsite because it isn't working then the first player I go to for advice and general input into the team it is Jim. Not only does he play so consistently, but over the last year I think people have even come to see that he does actually put up incredible scores as well. In the past he was considered the support player but I think he has now shown he has moved beyond that to be a core member of any squad I will ever create. As to the tactics of our team Jim helps me out and if I ever need someone on the server to check my ideas he will be the first to help. I couldn't really ask any more dedication from one player alone.

NO Preben “prb” Gammelsaeter – Although I haven't known Preben for that long I have known of his legendary status among the Norwegian CS scene for years before I came to playing with him. A member of the MYM squad with REAL, elemeNt and XeqtR you cannot really state the level of experience this guy has brought to our team and the composure he brings. In a similar vain to Jim I think he has a ridiculous level of consistency that allows our fraggers to focus on taking the big risks to carve open rounds while if they fail Preben will be the man to bring the round back and secure it for us. It’s difficult to judge so far how his role within our team will develop but for now he seems to be slotting in to any position we ask of him and is doing a good job of it. Just like Brandon he is always calm and composed so I know when the big games come around our squad is going to be ready for whatever anyone throws at us.

swaMp: How is the practice with the team ? Can u describe it a little ?

Sam: Well right now it has been particularly difficult as we have been unable to practice consistently and with strats as I've been studying for my Law Practitioner Course exams for the duration of the teams’ formation. It has effectively meant we have been unable to get onto a server and go through our strats and work out how we are going to play as a team. It hasn't therefore been a great start for us during the last few weeks as its been particularly difficult playing officials every week knowing you are well below your standards. I know in the future we are going to raise our game but publicly it hasn't been that favorable for us recently.
As for the practice we have done (although it has been somewhat limited) it has gone well and we have had no arguments within the team so far. I am actually impressed with how well we have done so far as I know online we are relatively weak compared to LAN. We have just played the odd team here and there and once we are settled down after my exams we will fix up a schedule where we practice 3-4 times a week for a solid period of time.

swaMp: What is the primary objective of the new CS:GO team ?

Sam: The objective we set for ourselves when we made the team is to become the best CS:GO team. If I said anything else it would be a lie. Everyone who knows me will understand that anything less than being the best is something I have never really considered. However, right now our primary objective is to try and reach a level where we all feel comfortable in how we are playing so that we are no longer worrying about our strats and how we are playing and can focus on our aim. That is our current objective, and ultimately a Top 3 at CPH Games 2013 is the target we have set ourselves considering the short period of time we are going to have to practice for the event.

Toni: The primary objective of the new CS:GO team is surely claiming the top spot back into their hands and we will do our best to provide them a decent backing and the help they need to perform as best as they can in their future endeavors.

swaMp: Some near future events where we gonna see the team ?

Sam: During the next month we agreed with Anexis-eSports to attend numerous events under their name. The first is Multiplay Iseries on the 22nd of March which is the biggest LAN festival in the United Kingdom where we will most likely be competing against more local sides. The second will be at Copenhagen Games on the 27th March where we will be against pretty much every international team out there right now. Those are our short term plans although we are obviously competing in the SLTV league where we will either go to the finals or if we fail to qualify we will attend the Heaven Media event.

swaMp: Toni, behind the rumors, why the CS:GO team have been changed ?

Toni: Well, we tried so hard to explain all information behind that situation. But to shorten it up, after the Vienna event, we sat down with our former Danish squad and discussed the contract terms for the future. We offered them support for the upcoming Copenhagen Games Event and another contract negotiation after the event where we could propose better terms for them. They decide to decline that offer because they felt they can secure a better deal in a different organisation.

Regarding the team that is gathered around Sam, uh, we approached them a while ago and we just wanted to en-quire about their situation. In the meantime, we developed a really healthy and friendly atmosphere so they ended up playing under our colors. They are a team full of individual brilliance and we can just see them progressing in the future events.

swaMp: Sam, how's to be the team captain ? Are u angry when your team does mistakes ?

Sam: If I wasn't the captain it would feel weird as I do not believe anyone else can do a better job than me so I am completely confident in the role and my ability to ensure our team reaches the success it deserves. As for all the negative publicity I get about being “angry” I know it is unjustified and something people will soon learn has been exaggerated because those individuals with the power to spread news and gossip do not like the idea of our team doing well. It seems to come from individuals who have a negative set against source players and want to find a reason to make people not like our team. I do not mind criticism but the level of pessimism towards me is somewhat outstanding considering these players have never played with me. How can anyone judge another independently when they have no idea what it is like to play with me or how my personality is really like ?

swaMp: With this lineup, u can be TOP 5 on CS:GO Scene ?

Sam: Yes, I strongly believe we can.

swaMp: Tell me your in game settings and your gaming gear.

Sam: You can find all of my settings and gear at my official facebook fan page

swaMp: What u can tell me about CS:GO Divisions in Anexis-eSports. It can be one more team ?

Toni: A month ago, I would've definitely have said yes, especially because we wanted to support our former Danish squad and a new division as well. But now, after the Danes decided to part ways with us, the only thing we are interested is securing a good playing environment for our new team that can keep them focused on the game and nothing else.

swaMp: What u can say in the close of this interview for our CS:GO Community from SK-Gaming ?

Sam: I would just like to thank your community for their continued support and I hope I can bring you some exciting games in the near future. Thank you also to our sponsors Ficken Liquors, Razer and FSHOST for believing in us and providing a platform for us to show the world what we are capable of.

Toni: Obviously I would like to thank you for giving us the chance to talk to you, it's always a pleasure to be approached by SK Gaming organisation as one of the strongest names in the scene. I would like to thank all our fans from your website and I surely hope that they will follow our teams at their future events.

As a personal note, i can say that this interview it was very professional and i can say that i see the professionalism level of that are showing and also Sam it's a great captain and i didn't saw much captains of the teams to have this mentality. Congrats guys and i hope that i'm gonna see you winning and good luck !
