SaSe returning to fnatic

ImageThe Swedish Protoss player has a found a new organisation. He did not have a lot of luck with some of his last organisations as Quantic Gaming disbanded a while ago (before coming back again) and ever since then he lived in Asia for some time. His new organisation is well known and some kind of old "friend".

It is not without a lot of surprise that fnatic announced the returning of SE Kim 'SaSe' Hammar. He has been playing for fnatic back in Warcraft III but joined some other organisations in Starcraft II before.

SaSe has a history with Asia as he has been living and playing there for more than a year. He also won some tournaments in China and lived at the StarTale team house to train there. The Gama Bears were also happy to have SaSe as a player for the TeSL. Some people already thought SaSe might be joining a Korean organisation. Apparently he wanted to join a foreign organisation and therefore fnatic seems a reasonable choice.

However, SaSe will not return to Europe but stay and play in the TeSL for the Gama Bears. He will be one of the few foreigners to do so. This is a bit surprising as fnatic shifted its focus back to Europe and now another Protoss joins their ranks, but will stay and live in Asia. The first official appearance of SaSe for fnatic will be at the MLG Winter Championship in Dallas in two weeks.

Statement by SE Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon, fnatic's Chief Gaming Officer
"Today we are thrilled to welcome Kim "SaSe" Hammar to the Fnatic family.

We have had our eyes on Kim for quite some time now, and with the recent reconstruction of our Starcraft 2 division we feel that the Swedish Protoss star is a perfect match for our ambitions and goals in 2013.
This is in fact not the first time Hammar sports the Fnatic jersey. In 2005, SaSe was a feared Nightelf representing our Warcraft 3 division, so we are extra proud to be able to welcome Kim back to our ranks once again.

We are confident that the addition of Hammar will boost our divisions strengths in team leagues, and we have a lot of faith in SaSe in his upcoming events, such as MLG Dallas in mid March.
However, the fans will not need to wait long to see SaSe's first official match representing Fnatic. We can now confirm that SaSe will be one of the foreign players to participate in the Taiwan eSports League starting today.

We would also like to thank SteelSeries, MSI, EIZO and Twitch for your awesome support, and let us all hope and work hard for a great 2013 in eSports!"

Statement by SE Kim 'SaSe' Hammar
"I am really happy to have found such a stable team in fnatic. Now I feel like I don't have to worry anymore and can focus 100% on improving my play. Fnatic was the first professional team I joined when I was a kid back in 2005. It's amazing to see how much they have grown over the years. I hope as the year goes by I can show a lot of great games and perfomances! Heart of the Swarm is being released soon and it is time to release the new SaSe aswell! Thank you everyone who has supported me and I would be really happy if you kept doing so! Fighting! ^_^"
