The path to success in a team game is communication. Riot allows players now to have multiple ways to communicate with the team without having to waste precious time to write.



What are Smart pings?

There is a radial menu which can use 4 different pings.
- Danger
- Assist me
- On my way
- Enemy missing

Each notification has a different graphic, sound and color associated with it so you'll never be confused about which ping just went out. Both current pings, attack and defend remain exactly the same. In order to use this function simply press as usual the V or G button to open the menu. You can then slide your mouse in the direction of the selected pings and thus better communicate with your teammates. Above all it is a much faster way than continually write down in the chat and enables faster response in the game.



Opinion of Snoopeh and xPeke

xPeke: You don't need to have a voice system to communicate, just by that you can almost do everything you need in the game, like to go to, where to go, where to defend, how to tell your teammates whats happening.

Snoopeh: If you can just swipe your mouse, its way more intuitive than typing on a keyboard.
