The EMS One's first cup of the opening season came to its end, with SE Epsilon surprisingly taking the champion title over DE n!faculty in the final battle. The action started and the surprises did too, as the german troop overpowered the main favourite SE Ninjas in Pyjamas in the semifinal #1. This was for sure, a match that deserves a deep analysis for various reasons as can be the impressive performance of the germans and also the unusual failures on the nordic squad's teamplay.

The best-of-one battle started in de_mirage_csgo, and as it was expected the swedes took the first advantage in the scoreboard, winning the pistol round and the next four rounds before their rivals could get their first. Was then when n! started a winning round streak to tie on 5, even though later after an exchange of rounds the half would end up 9-6 in NiP's favor. The second half started with a good boost for the german troop as they took the pistol round. After the opening round, the nordics were able so sustain the two rounds advantage, but n! tied the score in 11 and later scored a streak to seal the 16-12 victory.

Meanwhile, in the second semifinal, the other swedish representative that reached this stage clashed against FR Imaginary Gaming on de_inferno_se. The nordic troop easily took the lead from the beginning and managed to keep on shape after the side change ending the battle with a convincing 16-5 overall score and getting the passport to the final.

Semifinals results:
DE n!faculty 16-12 SE Ninjas in Pyjamas @ de_mirage_csgo
SE Epsilon Gaming 16-5 FR Imaginary Gaming @ de_inferno_se

And then, the time for the grand final came. Epsilon wanted to be the revelation of the first EMS One cup, and n!faculty to continue their road to the LAN finals of the season. The grand final gunfire started at de_train_se with n! on terrorist side, taking the pistol round and the very next round to secure the first advantage, but Epsilon recovered forces and after an interchange of rounds closed the half 10-5. The second pistol round went again to n!, but it did not meant a significant advantage, as the swedes allowed the rival team to score only five more rounds before closing the map 16-12.

The second and decisive map was de_mirage_csgo, and the Epsilon's dominance seemed to be stronger on it. The swedes started winning the pistol round, and in the next rounds quickly reflected a clear advantage on the score. At the end first half, the Nordics had a seven rounds advantage, which later after swapping sides went bigger as n! managed to score just one more round. And the GG came; Epsilon took the champion title after sealing the 16-5 on mirage, closing 2-0 the series.

SE Epsilon Gaming 16-12 DE n!faculty @ de_train_se
