ImageThe speculations are officially over! It was recently announced that Evil Geniuses has recruited the former CLG.EU's lineup for the upcoming Season 3!

There were various "leaks" and speculations about Froggen and the boys in the last months. Apparently, the CLG organization was not able to accommodate two of the top League of Legends teams and after long negotiations - a decision was made. The team is now officially part of Evil Geniuses!

Here's what UK Stephen 'Snoopeh' Ellis posted yesterday on Reddit:

"This announcement has been a long time coming, and it was fraught with deliberation over several months - an array of meetings with different parties were held over this period and we were very transparent with those involved. It is sad that CLG was not able to accommodate two top League of Legends teams, we had a great year with them and George has been a fantastic friend throughout and I wish him the best of luck in the future – which I believe looks very bright for CLG with Kelby & Garvey's assistance."

In terms of why the announcement was kept secret for so long and where did the "leaks" come from, he said:

"You may question the integrity of this announcement when some may say it has been leaked already – in response to those leaks I would like to add that hiding such announcements, especially ones which have been undergoing negotiations for almost 5 months, is no easy task and near impossible. In large part, this is due to the structure of eSports - word travels through the grape vine and it eventually gets to people who can't be trusted with the information."

As for the near future plans of the team, Snoopeh also added:

"Tuning into the NA League Champion Series qualifiers, followed by IEM Katowice and now the EU qualifiers – I simply cannot wait for the season to kick off. It's going to be AWESOME! Update on what our team is doing: we will be moving to Germany on the 1st of February, as we knuckle down for the start of the season on the 9th of February."

To help make this announcement even more special, a PROMO VIDEO was released, featuring some of Evil Geniuses's most famous players!

SK Gaming would like to congratulate Evil Geniuses for this huge step and wish them best of luck in the upcoming Season 3!
