mTw loses Dota 2 team

ImageThe collapse of mTw continues, as the organization's renowned Dota 2 squad moves on without their sponsor.

Following the report from three days ago, at which point mTw had lost their international Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, the organization's seemingly comprehensive collapse continues as more players bid farewell. Today, the captain of the EU mTw Dota 2 team, DK Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen made an official statement as promised, following discussions with the team. As expected, the team has left mTw, with little remorse from their end, as they have received no support or communication from their sponsor, ever since the beginning of the current iteration of this team several months ago.

Statement from Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen:
"It comes as no big surprise to me. After being unable to reach mTw for pretty much two months straight after multiple phone calls, text messages and Skype messages as well as the knowledge that the financial side of things wasn't looking too bright, this was a likely outcome. I am the only one from our current roster who mTw owes anything from back when I played with Socks, Kebap, Funzii and Mad--the current roster never signed contracts, so it's not that big of a deal for my team mates from a financial point of view; mTw is only indebted to me and whatever they owe to the other players of the old roster. We will keep playing together as a team, and our team name so far is undecided. We are not currently in contact with any sponsors; we'll try our best to improve and show some good results for now, so a big sponsor hopefully gets interested in the future. Thanks for your continued support."

While the future of this team, which will continue to play together, is uncertain, there are already earlier indicators of possible deals. US Marco 'Thyton' Pachacopa, the manager of Netolic, has publicly stated his intention to acquire the Dota 2 squad on the GosuGamers website.
