mTw on the verge of folding

ImageAccording to sources, mTw is on the verge of ceasing all operations, with the intent to eventually start anew.

In light of certain recent events, such as the departure of UA Dmytro 'DIMAGA' Filipchuk from mTw, as well as the ambiguous standings of the Dota 2 and CS:GO teams within their respective scenes, it was investigated by journalists from several media networks, with the incentive of ascertaining the status quo of the organization. What was revealed by the players and managers is that by accounts, mTw is set to cease operations for the time being, with the hopeful incentive of possibly rebooting the image of the organization at a further time, similar to the debacle with MeetYourMakers in 2009. At this time, it is not guaranteed that mTw will close its doors, but the whole of the organization believes that it is all but certain at this stage.

Several players explained their situation, which was published by Cadred earlier today. In addition to DIMAGA, KR Young Jin 'SuperNoVa' Kim also elaborated upon his experience with mTw, which although pleasant, was not ideal for receiving one's salary in a reliable manner. The current players of mTw are in the process of evaluating their situations and inherently, deciding upon what course of action the individual teams should take from here on out. CA Joshua 'steel' Nissan of the mTw CS:GO squad explained how their are too many hands in the organization, causing great confusion for all involved. As of now, he is looking to finding a new organization with a simplistic structure. In a comment withheld, mTw's Dota 2 team captain, DK Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen, confirmed the situation that the organization is facing. However, no official statement will be made on behalf of the Dota 2 squad, until they have completed their team discussions.

Should mTw cease operations, the esports scene will be bidding farewell to one of the oldest and most-respected names. Founded in 1998, the organization has consistently strived to improve the German scene alongside SK Gaming. In addition to the current stars, mTw has maintained some of the most beloved and iconic players and teams in the industry, including their Danish Counter-Strike squad, which became one of the highest-earning teams of all time and a fan favorite, leading to their disbandment in late 2011.
