Well it has been nice catching up with loved ones and taking a break from responsibilities the last couple weeks. We are back in action now though, and I want to catch us all up on the scene news we may have missed over the holidays from NA.

To begin with the well-known organization FXO has picked up a League of Legends team, consisting of some well-known high ELO NA players. Navitar, 408, JRTSeven, Daydreamin, Entus, Tsunamiie and SaiXenos, formerly known as Team Clasik, will be looking to compete for a spot in Season 3 at the upcoming NA qualifiers.

Another new team was created over the break under the direction of Marn. After propositioning almost every player without a team at the moment (and a couple who did have a team), Marn’s rag-tag group consisting of ClakeyD, MegaZero, ecco, At0mic and heartbeattt came together and will also be competing for a spot in Season 3.

Dirt Nap Gaming is also throwing their hat into the ring, picking up some well known solo-queuers and the somewhat well-known Pr0lly from ex-Legion. He will be joined by jdwu, Cris, hi im ecko, Prophet and their sub dx30. The DNG community gained some attention a little while ago as one of the most non-toxic and supportive communities out there, and it will be good for the website to have some faces to put their reputation behind.

Finally, the team updates end with a discouraging story. It was made public that during a tournament game, AbsoluteLegends.NA checked the stream of their opposing team to cheat and see where their wards were. After a public apology on Reddit and forgiveness by the other team, AbsoluteLegends decided to part ways with the team, stating that this is unsportsmanlike conduct and will not be tolerated.

As for the player swaps, Team Dignitas picked up TheRealKiwiKid as their new top-laner as Crumbzz moved back into the jungle. Team Dynamic picked up Shiphtur mid and I am Anjo on support to hopefully secure their spot for Season 3. Finally in the most dramatic move, CLG Aphromoo has been confirmed as the new support, with Link115 coming on as the sub. No word yet from FeaR but I’m sure we’ll hear soon what their line-up is.

Finally, my department has an exciting announcement for all of you! Myself, Rehlyt, Danheim and ToxicVIP a.k.a. the LoL.NA department of SK are starting a podcast in the next couple weeks! We’ll be focussing on the meta changes, the current patch and the overall state of the game. Details will follow as to when and where you’ll be able to catch us, keep an eye out for an update within a week - 2 weeks!
