Global Play for Starcraft II

ImageStarcraft II players from all around the world could only compete with each other in the same region so far. This seems not enough for Blizzard as they promise to extend the possibilities for every player. With the next patch each player can compete with the whole world!

The next patch will have quite a big change for the Starcraft II community. Players from each region will be able to compete with each other and find out who is the best in the world. The ladder will therefore see some more changes and there are new options for those who want to compete with the best of the best.

Each region got different maps and small mini games, which are not available in certain regions, so it will be some kind of adventure to find out about all that new stuff. Every region will have separate data, so nobody will get confused or mess up with the friends list.

That new option might not look promising to many people but if the servers in one region are down for maintenance one might be able to play in another region of the world.
