Following the yesterday's announcement of Ninjas in Pyjamas that decided to skip the upcoming season of the SLTV StarSeries, the reason for that decision came to light today. The former SK and fnatic player Christopher 'GeT_RiGhT' Alesund informed via his Youtube video blog that he needs to undergo surgery to heal an ear infection that was detected in May and was not fully eliminated yet.

As the ear infection started to show its symptoms, the Swede saw his hearing capacity reduced in a 45% of one of his ears. It was revealed that if this problem does not get a proper treatment, it can cause more complications with is hearing, vision or even in the perception of smells.

The surgical intervention is scheduled to take place on December 17th. In the recovery process, GeT_RiGhT will not be able to wear headsets for 10 days and will be able to make travels by plane a month after. Although the previous mentioned limitations, he will keep the training regime with the Ninjas aiming to the NorthCon event in Germany which will run in mid December.
