fnatic's Rain retires

ImageOne of the best Terrans in the world announced his retirement today. The lack of good results and success were the main reason for retiring, as Rain said in his statement.

KR Seo-Yong 'Rain' Park is going to end his career in Starcraft II. When he was playing at his best, he was able to win against many good players. Some wins in the GSTL and notable final placements in several tournaments are only some of the big stories in his history.

Some people will still be able to remember his great run in the GSL Code S which ultimately ended in the GSL Code S Grand Finals back in 2010, where he could win 25.000 $. He took down great players like KR Min-Soo 'Genius' Jung, KR Hyun-Woo 'Squirtle' Park and KR Jae-Duck 'NesTea' Lim. However, even more people might remember his crazy match on Metalopolis against KR Yo-Hwan 'BoxeR' Lim which ultimately ended in a crazy Terran Sky fight back at MLG Anaheim in 2011.

Lately the big success and notable wins were missing, so Rain gave the thought of retirement a chance. He played more than a year for fnatic and has been one of their best players in Starcraft II so far.

Statement from Rain
"Hi guys this is Fnatic Rain and I'm really sad to announce my retirement. I was considering about retirement about 3months ago but now I think it's a proper time to retire because I feel I can't make good game and result anymore. I'm really thankful to Fnatic for such a good opportunity and provide me a good environment. I had really good experience abroad and made many friends, competing in lot of tournaments. If I didn't work with Fnatic, I think I wouldn't have been able to have such good opportunities."
