ImageThe last week and especially the last weekend was filled with a lot of tournaments and interesting cups in Starcraft II. Besides ESWC and MLG Dallas, where the Fall Championship was held, the International e-Culture Festival took place in China and SaSe managed to come out on top.

A lot of action in Starcraft II with the finest players from all over the world could be witnessed within the last week. The highlights of the week were the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC), held in Paris, France, and the MLG Fall Championship, which was held in Dallas, USA. Loads of Koreans and extremely good players from all over Europe and the USA tried to show their best and get a chance of winning some prize money.

The IEF 2012 took place in China and three games were played at that event. Warcraft III, League of Legends and Starcraft II were the disciplines where the players could show what they are capable of. In Starcraft II there were not a lot of good players as most of them were going to the ESWC or the MLG Dallas event. However SE Kim 'SaSe' Hammar was attending the IEF and was able to win the first place.

Twelve players were divided in two groups and the best two of each group would advance to the semi finals. SaSe came out on top of his group with a 5-0 streak, losing only two maps. In the semi-finals and finals he won with 2-1 and could therefore score the first place. 10.000 $ came along with that final placement and this first place should give SaSe a bit more confidence although the really good players were not playing at the IEF.
