Lots of threads and postings on reddit and TeamLiquid were speculating about a possible end of the GomTV house and those rumours are true, as Thomas 'Khaldor' Killian stated in a video that he uploaded on YouTube some time ago.

The rental contract for the apartment will not be extended, Khaldor said. He thinks that the decision is right. Once the GomTV house was opened there have been a lot of players and casters. At some point there were over 20 people in there and lots of good players, also foreigners, could be there and practise.

Lately the motivation of the players, who were in the apartment, seemed to lack a lot. Most of them were acting like they were on holiday rather than practising and improving, Khaldor stated. The results of that may have been a part of the reason why GomTV decided to close the house. Furthermore the rental costs are expensive in Korea and GomTV even had to upgrade the house so that the players could practise properly. The apartment itself was pretty big as well so that the rental costs must have been even more expensive.

Khaldor himself said that he will stay in Korea and most likely rent his own small apartment to be able to cast more games for GomTV.
