The event kicked off with a classic battle between two known rivals - The Korean powerhouse KR NaJin Black Sword against the familiar for all League enthusiasts American team US Counter Logic Gaming . The games were streamed and self-explanatory. We'll just leave you the VoD's here so you can do a rerun!

Part 2:

Up next were an all American classic - US Team Curse and US Team SoloMid . The best-of-three series was the first one to go to 3 matches. With really close games and intense clutch plays, SoloMid proved superior to their counterparts yet again. The matches were also streamed. Here's a link, if you want to watch the action again!

Part 2:

Unfortunately the other games weren't streamed, but there weren't exactly that many suprises. Scoring a 2:0 series over CA Dynamic , the other Asian team KR Azubu Blaze continued the tradition of Korean domination against the NA teams and will be facing US Team Dignitas in the next round. Scarra and his boys managed to eliminate the one and only European representative - EU Counter Logic Gaming EU. Even though the team came up with a substitute player, due to BE Mitch 'Krepo' Voorspoels not being able to participate, the team did not give up easily - bringing the series to a close 2:1, they are down to the losers bracket and will be facing CA Dynamic .

That sums up day 1, stay tuned for more League of Legends action today!
