With a seemingly endless roster, today MMe has dropped 2 of its smaller teams, leaving only MMe.Ferus. Who, by the way, lost Balls a couple days ago.Monomaniac does not seem to have any luck when it comes to Professional League of Legends. MMe broke in to the League of Legends scene in spectacular fashion with their fledgling team's 4th place at IPL, much higher than anyone had expected. And just when their careers took off, the players literally took off as well and joined up with
Dynamic .
From that first break into the scene MMe has sponsored a total of 6 teams. This would be what one calls "biting off more than you can chew". With a lack of resources and success from these smaller teams, MMe has been unable to maintain itself. It let go of two teams earlier this year, and just recently released MMe.Imperium and MMe.Evito leaving only
Monomaniac eSports Ferus.
Picking up MMe.Ferus from former mTw.NA may have been the best move so far from MMe, but the roster is now facing another hurdle. Their top-laner turned AD carry turned back top-laner
An 'Balls' Le left MMe.Ferus a couple days ago for reasons unknown. It's worthwhile to note he has been with the team since it was APictureOfAGoose. Let's hope that MMe finds success now that they can focus their resources on one team.
MMe.Imperium and MMe.Evito released.
Team manager GnomeSayin's tweet about Balls' departure.
**UPDATE**It was just announced that Ferus has left MonoManiac Esports and are now free agents. What lead to this decision is unknown, as is Balls' decision to leave the team a few days prior. Hopefully the community will get some answers in the near future.
