DH Winter: full details announced
The organization behind the Dreamhack Winter has released full details concerning the 2012 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament that will be held in late November.

The organization behind the Dreamhack Winter has released full details concerning the 2012 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament that will be held in late November.The Dreamhack's organization just released a full detailed report with information about the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament in the 2012's Winter stop. As it was already known, the tourney will feature a total prize pool of roughly $45,000 for the CS:GO discipline.
A total of 16 teams will take part on the event, divided in four groups of four teams each one. The group stage will be played in a best of one map format while in the playoffs a best of three maps, single Elimination system will be applied. Half of those 16 teams are already confirmed and they all are from different countries. The remaining eight slots will be filled with teams coming from the four online qualifiers as well as the two BYOC qualifiers and two invites.
Each one of the BYOC qualifiers will feature a total of 64 teams, and will use a best of one map single elimination format in the group stage as well as in the playoffs. To enter on the BYOCs you have to sign-up completing a registration form and to pay a $138 to guarantee a seat.
Also a team of four official casters was revealed for the Dreamhack Winter's 2012 edition. The people in charge of the streams will include a bunch of well known heads on the Counter-Strike scene. And last but not least, the organization announced the DHW's schedule.
