ImageRevaN from the United States talks about the upcoming EGL8 event in Manchester he will attend next week.

EGL8 is going to be held next weekend from 13-14 October. We found a candidate who will commentate the MW3 tournament. RevaN is talking about the competition and his expectations for this event.

SK: Hello RevaN, can you please intodruce yourself to the readers out there?

"Hello everyone, my name is John Boble and my online ID is Revan. I play Call of Duty and commentate as well in the North American scene. Currently I'm in the apeX organization, and will be attending EGL 8 on October 13th and 14th."

SK: How come that you're going to be commentating at upcoming EGL8?

"After I was dropped from the apeX Collapse team, apeX management approached me and wanted to keep me in their organization for commentating. They asked me if I wanted to go to EGL 8 and possibly commentate, of course I said yes. After speaking with the EGL management, they would let me commentate there and apeX decided to send me.
Personally, I don't feel as if I'm good enough to compete over seas anyways, I don't see myself as a "top player". I'm very happy to go and be able to attend the event though."

SK: Is EGL8 the first event where you're exclusively commentating and not competing as a player? If so, do you feel any kind of tension?

"Yeah it will be the first event where I'm there just to commentate. I'm a little nervous for many reasons. It's been a while since I've commentated, so I need to practice and build up my stamina. Also, I'm expecting this event to be pretty big, viewership wise, so I need to make sure that my commentary is flawless and entertaining for the viewers. Hopefully they will like my style of commentary."

SK: Do you have a lot of information from the European CoD team's, player's, organization's etc.?

"I think I know more than the average american player or viewer. I've been actively watching the EU scene since EGL 4 and I'am friends with quite a few people who are involved in the scene. But I'll definitely do my homework before I leave and learn more about specific players and teams. Of course there are some players/teams that I don't know much about, but it's my job to prepare and learn about them."

SK: Is it the first European event you will attend and what are you most looking out for at EGL8?

"Yes this will be my first EU event that I'm attending. Honestly I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. I've known some of the EU guys for almost a year now, some even longer. I can't wait to finally meet them, it's going to be an amazing experience."

SK: What is your prediction for the Top-3?

"In no specific order, EON OpTic, EON nV and I would love to see an EU team such as maybe Prophecy, TCM or FeaR.Dominance in the top 3. There's a lot of competition at the event and you definitely can't count out apeX TKO or LeveraGe either."

SK: Thanks for taking the time out RevaN, do you have any shoutouts?

"Thank you and SK for doing this interview with me, hopefully I gave you some good answers. As always, thank you to apeX eSports and all of our wonderful sponsors: Razer, Squid Grip, Gam3rGlov3s, 360Visions and Elgato Gaming. I can't wait for EGL 8, it's going to be an amazing event. Thank you guys as well for reading!"
