DreamHack Open: Valencia 2012 Preview
Valencia is the third stop on the 2012 DreamHack Open series of tournaments with a prize pool of 150,000 SEK (~$21,500). Once again the event will feature a free HD (720p) stream with a great pool players and casters.

Valencia is the third stop on the 2012 DreamHack Open series of tournaments with a prize pool of 150,000 SEK (~$21,500). Once again the event will feature a free HD (720p) stream with a great pool players and casters.DreamHack's main stream will be available here and will be broadcasted in High-definition for free. On Saturday it will feature highlighted matches from the group stage. On Sunday we continue with the playoffs. The main show with the last 7 matches (Round of 8, Semifinals and Grand Final) will start 15.45 CEST and the first game is 16.00 CEST. Grand Final is played 22.00 CEST.

A total of 12 players will be qualified for the Grand Finals held at DreamHack Winter 2012. Final 12 players will be determined after the last DreamHack Open-stop in Bucharest 20-21st October. Players will be determined according to following:
1) Ranking points
2) Best placement
3) Match score
4) Map score
If tied, DreamHack will arrange tie-breaker match.
Prize money at the Grand Finals will be a total of 550 000 SEK ~ 76 149 USD.
1st Place - 250 000 SEK ~ 38 074 USD
2nd Place - 100 000 SEK ~ 15 229 USD
3-4th Place - 50 000 SEK ~ 7 614 USD
5-8th Place - 25 000 SEK ~ 3 807 USD

Each player will have one blind vetos. The played maps and order will be random generated.

Unfortunately Namutin, Origine have had to cancel and have been replaced.
Ret announced on Twitter a couple of minutes ago that he wont be able to attend DreamHack, because his flight was overbooked.
