HyperX Anniversary Tournament Announced

ImageIn honor of their 10-year anniversary, Kingston Technology have just announced the HyperX classic: a $15,000 open-registration StarCraft II tournament featuring a grand final in Las Vegas. Registration opens on September 17th - sign up now!

ImageCelebrating their 10-Year anniversary, our friends over at Kingston Technology chose to host a massive free-to-enter Starcraft II tournament with $15,000 USD in cash prizes.

Gamers will get the chance to compete online against players from all around the globe in order to qualify for the grand finals that will take place during CES 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. Additionally, eight pro players will be seeded into the top sixteen.

Game Format:
Single Elimination, Best of Three until round of 32
Round of 32: Single Elimination, Best-of-Five
Round of 16: Single Elimination, Best-of-Five
Round of 8: Merges into Playoff System: Additional eight invitees seeded into single elimination, Best-of-Five bracket (Sixteen Total Players)
Semi-Finals: Advance to Live Finals at CES in Las Vegas. Single Elimination, Best-of-Five
Grand Finals (Final Two): Single Elimination, Best-of-Seven.

Prizes:
1st Place: $7,000
2nd Place: $4,500
3rd Place: $ 2,500
4th Place: $ 1,000

Schedule:
Registration Starts: September 17, 2012
Registration Closes: September 27, 2012
Online Competition Starts: October 1, 2012
Online Competition Closes: November 30, 2012
Live Final: January 7-8th, 2013 (tentative)
