ReC to feature CS:GO in 2013
The Professional Gamers League (PGL) has announced that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will replace Counter-Strike 1.6 in the upcoming Romanian eSports Championship season, in 2013.

The Professional Gamers League (PGL) has announced that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will replace Counter-Strike 1.6 in the upcoming Romanian eSports Championship season, in 2013.PGL announced earlier today that Season 2 of the Romanian eSports Championship will be the last one to feature Counter-Strike 1.6, as a result of the continuous growth of Valve's new FPS title CS:GO.
It was also announced that the current tournament structure will not be altered, ReC 2013 having the same divisions as the previous two seasons: one division A, a division B with two subdivisions and a division C with four subdivisions. Each subdivision will have a total of 10 teams.
Furthermore, the organization announced that it is possible to host a CS:GO cup during the current season of ReC in order for the players to get used with the new gameplay.
No information was given regarding the prize purse for the CS:GO league, however it's expected to be at least the same as the one for CS 1.6, which is as follows:
