ImageOne of the most successful Brazilian CS players of all time as Lincoln "fnx" Lau is, announced that after ten years of activity will be retiring from the competitive Counter-Strike scene.

The long carer of BR Lincoln 'fnx' Lau seems to come to an end as he announced via his Facebook that he will be retiring from the Counter-Strike 1.6 scene after ten years of activity.

The oldschool player served for many well known teams and reached his maximum achievement in 2006 when won the ESWC with BR Made in Brazil . The last participation of Lau was just a week ago, when he managed to win the WCG Pan-American finals playing this time for BR playArt .

Fnx's post on Facebook reads:
"I inform by this post my retirement from Counter Strike. After 10 years of pure dedication, commitment and training I'm away from the scene of the cyber games. First I would like to thank all the sponsors without whom it would not have come where i came. Also i would like to thank my team-mates as they were vital in this journey. I Could not forget to send a hug to all my fans who have always supported me and sent me messages of encouragement.

Again, thank most sincerely all who passed through my career as a cyber athlete!! I have in mind that gratitude is the right word because it alone could not do anything. I enjoyed myself, I was very happy in those 10-years: several domestic trips, I met many countries, new cultures; won championships as WCG, panamericans, ESWC among others ... But for me just now, the cycle is over ...

Besides the lack of sponsorships with monthly salaries, incentive motivational, I am seeking new horizons and new achievements in my life! I'm young and have the world to conquer!"

With fnx's departure, his former team PlayArt is now composed by four members and it is in the hunt for a fifth to complete the lineup.
