ImageThe KerchNET team just won the Summer Cup 2012 against Team Anexis with a score of 2:1 in maps. The winner of the tournament got more than $600 in cash as well as the chance to showcase their talent offline in Moscow later this year.

The Summer Cup 2012 has come to an end. Over 430 teams signed up for it and after todays online finals, the Ukrainians team KerchNET was crowned as the champions and secured their place for the final battle offline event in Moscow that will be held in September this year.

Six teams out of over 430 registered made it to the play-offs. One from Denmark, one from Sweden, one from Ukraine and three from Russia, but with Team KerchNET and Anexis only two of them qualified for the LAN event in September.

As said Ukrainians and Danes both had secured a spot for the offline event but still had to play for money prizes in a best-of-three online shootout.

The match was played on de_tuscan, de_nuke and de_forge. The first map ended with score of 16-9 in Anexis's favor. In the second map KerchNET switched to a higher gear and won the map with 16-2. After a very interesting two maps, the third map ending in a very close match with a score 20-22 in KerchNET favor, Anexis basically couldn't live up to the expectations, delivering a rather unspectacular performance.

Summer Cup final standings:
1. UA KerchNET - $630 + FBotY spot
2. DK Anexis - $377 + FBotY spot
3. RU Place2Play - $253
4. RU - $154
