While most eyes are turned towards PAX, in another corner of the Earth - namely South Korea, the match for the third place at Azubu The Champions Summer 2012 was played and NaJin Sword came out victorious. In the match for third place, which was played earlier today,
NaJin Sword met the widely regarded as the best Korean team
Azubu Blaze. Sword needed to win that game in order to qualify for the Korean Regionals while Blaze, who have secured their spot there with their first place at the Spring edition of the tournament, maybe weren't motivated enough. Thanks to
Yoon 'MaKNooN' Ha-woon's beast Nidalee in the first game and a solid team effort in the second that even made Blaze surrender, Sword managed to win with a surprising for many 2-0 score. Congratulations to them and best of luck in the Korean Regionals which will be held on 21 September!
After that match Blaze had to play against
MVP White in the so called "Seed Challenge". Blaze didn't put their domination under any more doubt and quickly took the set with a 2-0 score, securing their place in the Group Stage of the next edition of Azubu The Champions.
All that is left to see of this massive Korean tournament is the epic Best of 5 final between
Counter Logic Gaming EU and
Azubu Frost, which will be played next Saturday, 8 September.
