ImageAfter a tough weekend for all competitors the WCS North American Champion has been crowned and bags a hefty $24,000 cash prize. Eight other players also earned their seed in the Grand Finals of the World Championship Series.

Today Scarlett, a heavy favorite going into the championships, was crowned the North American Champion after winning a quick and decisive win 2-0 win over ViBe. Scarlet beat Theognis(2-1), Mystik(2-0), HuK(2-0), Insur(2-0) and finally ViBe(2-0), an amazing run for Scarlett after just dropping 1 game in the entire tournament.

The Queen of the North seems to show no weakness when she plays and only time will tell if anyone else in the world can find her weakness when she plays in the World Finals in Shanghai, China.

After her win Scarlet said that she wants to show the world that Europe is not better than North America and she is hoping to finally solve the long time debate that the European server is dominant to the North American. Though most importantly this tournament showed that Canada has some of the strongest talent in North America. Out of the 8 Canadians that showed up for WCS, 5 Canadians made it into the Top 16.

Coming in second place was of course US Dan 'ViBE' Scherlong, third place was given to US Gregory 'IdrA' Fields, and coming in fourth was MX Juan Carlos 'MajOr' Tena Lopez. The 3 Champions from Mexico, USA, and Canada placed top 4 showing their previous tournament victories were no fluke.

Will be representing North America in the finals. Congratulation to Scarlett taking home $24,000!
