ImageFollowing the recent announcements of various European teams, the Russian organization zNation released information regarding their move to Valve's new game. The brand new team features a mixture of CS 1.6 and CS:S players.

Lately, we have been witnesses to the strong trend of teams switching to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Just a few hours ago, one of the major Russian eSports organizations, zNation announced that they will follow said trend and will be joining the CS:GO scene.

With the official opening of the new division, zNation says goodbye to their representative Counter-Strike: Source squad but not to all the players that took part on it. The brand new CS:GO team is a mixture of both zNation's 1.6 and Source teams.

Here's what Alex "KoZRoG" Kunshin, the director of the project had to say:

"eSports is an industry that changes, and if you want to be alive, there is a need to follow those changes in a timely manner. Today we completed an important chapter in the life of the project and opened a brand new, which is no doubt going to be very busy and probably prolonged. I sincerely thank all the guys who have spent this time with us, but for one reason or another were not able to continue their journey in the zNation. I sincerely wish them the best of luck, regardless of what they will do.

I would also like to thank all our fans who watched it all the time for performance of the team, hopefully, these changes will be accepted by you with the understanding."

Although no further information about the three remaining players has been released, an official statement is expected in the upcomming week.
