VAC bans in other games will not be transfered to CS:GO

As we can see on recent forum, an user states that he has been VAC banned on Counter-strike: Source roughly a year ago, and that his ban has been transfered to the CS:GO beta.

The Valve Anti Cheat support information states that if a player gets a VAC ban on one of the games listed below, would carry as consequence a ban on the other games as well.

Counter-Strike: Source
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch,
Day of Defeat: Source,
Team Fortress 2
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

One of the latest replies to the post, was written by an user that is associated with the Steam staff, who stated:
"After further review we have decided to remove the link between Source VAC bans and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The FAQ linked by heffebaycay has been updated to reflect this change.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is now a unique ban and bans in other games will not affect your ability to join VAC secure games in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive."

After this statement, we now know that any user with VAC bans in one of the top four games listed previously will not suffer the ban on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, neither on the beta stage nor the complete game.
